ESL课程介绍
      ESL英语(1---6级) 综合英语课程即ESL证书课程,是我校英语培训的核心课程,共分6级,通过ESL的入学测试,为不同英语程度的学员提供适合个人需要 的课程。每完成一级的学业,都将获得诺加文化培训学校的ESL证书。 该课程的1、2级为基础级别,学校从学生实际情况出发,适当配备了中国教师加强基础课程的训练。3、4级为中等级别,5、6级为高级 课程,3级以上课程基本上由有教学经验的外籍教师授课。
     学员在ESL的学习中,听、说、读、写等语言运用能力将获得大幅提高。 ESL6级课程(EAP直升课程) 即EAP直升课程,为准备出国留学的学员提供出国前密集英语课程。EAP课程为英语学习的高级课程,共分为两个级别:EAP I和EAP II。 EAP课程中除了听、说、读、写等基本能力的训练外,还加入了专业英语课程(如读写能力,正式书面沟通能力,专业口头表达能力和 演讲技巧)、学习方法(如上课笔记技巧、方法;图书资料、信息查阅方式方法;报告及论文书写方法;论文写作等)及西方文化和大 学背景介绍等。 EAP课程已经得到了美国多所大学和其它国家大学的认可,学员完成EAP课程并取得ESL6级证书后,可免试TOEFL直接进入美国和其 他国家攻读预科或本科学位课程,并有机会申请到国际奖学金,节约了在国外读语言课程所需的大量费用和时间。
ESL课程分级情况介绍

课程级别:Low Elementary 初低级(第一级) ESL101
入学要求: 具备基本词汇量以及简单的日常英语会话。
课程描述:本课程为初学者设计,适合对英语仅有最基本的理解或者掌握一定要有知识但已经遗忘的学员。
课程级别:High Elementary 初高级(第二级) ESL201
入学要求:在本校合格完成初低级ESL课程或者在入学测试CELSA和口试均获得50%以上的学员可以可入读本课程。
课程描述:本课程专为缺乏英语专门训练的学生而设计,课程会提供听、说、读、写四方面的技能训练,着重提高听说能力,同时注重于读写、语法、拼写和标点符号等基本功的训练。
课程级别:Low Intermediate中低级(第三级) ESL301
入学要求:在本校合格完成了初高级课程或者在入学的书面测试CELSA和口试上均获得60%以上成绩的学员可入读本课程。
课程描述:本课程专为缺乏英语专门训练的学生而设计,课程会提供听、说、读、四方面的技能训练,着重提高听说能力,同时注重于读写、语法、拼写和标点符号等基本功的训练。
 课程级别: High Intermediate中高级(第四级) ESL401
入学要求:在本校合格完成中低级课程或者在入学的书面测试CELSA和口语均获得70%以上的成绩的学员可入读本课程。
课程描述:本课程专为具有中等英语水平的学生设计,学员的英语理解能力必须基本听懂
英文授课。课程重点放在用英语进行沟通,同时也要求学生写作,课堂上会讨论并纠正写作中出现的篇章结构、遣词造句及语法等问题。课堂讨论的内容主要选自教材“A Reading Skills Book”,英文报刊如 “China Daily”, 以及英文原著如“Reader's Digest” 等英语出版刊物。
课程级别: Low Advanced高低级(第五级) ESL501
入学要求:在本校合格完成中低级课程或者在入学的书面测试CELSA和口试均获得80%以上的成绩的学员可入读本课程。
课程描述:本课程专为已具备良好英文技巧的学员而设计,学生将选择“读者文摘”或其它英文杂志的文章进行课外阅读和讨论,并且进行写作训练,老师会修改他们的文章。
课程级别: Advanced高级(第六级) ESL601
入学要求:在本校合格完成中低级课程或者在入学的书面测试CELSA和口试均获得90%以上的成绩的学员可入读本课程。
课程描述:本课程专为已具备良好英文技巧,计划去美国或者加拿大的学生设计。本课程会提供去美国上大学的一些相关资讯以及帮助学生选择北美大学留学。学生在合格完成此课程会被推荐入读北美大学而不需参加TOEFL考试。
Program Overview
(1) This program is designed to provide specific and appropriate language training for English as a Second Language speakers who intend to proceed to post-secondary study. Successful completion of the program means that a student has a sufficient level of English language proficiency to undertake studies at English-speaking colleges or universities.
(2) The program is organized in six levels. Each level takes one semester to complete. Students can expect 20-25 hours of classroom study each week with additional time in independent study, language labs, and social activities.
(3) Core Courses deal with practical English skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
(4) ESL Elective Courses are optional courses which focus on specific topics or skills (ie, Canadian Studies, Popular Culture,  Listening, etc.).
(5) Academic Elective Courses are available beginning at Level 4.  From this level onward, students may choose to take academic courses in combination with ESL courses.
(6) Students are required to take the English Placement Test (EPT) to determine appropriate placement. EPT Test Waivers are also possible with appropriate TOEFL or IELTS scores.

Course Description
Beginning (ESL Level 1,2) : Emphasizes everyday speaking and listening activities, writing diaries and journals, work on accent and intonation, and introduction to beginning grammatical structures.
Intermediate (ESL Level 3 & 4): Emphasizes speaking and listening, vocabulary building, reading improvement, and intermediate grammatical structures as well as accent reduction.
Advanced (ESL Level 5 & 6) :  Emphasizes advanced vocabulary building, vocabulary for academic purposes, reading and American Culture.

Level 1:  Low Elementary Preliminary  ESL 101 Requirement: The students are supposed to master the basic vocabularies and know the daily  English conversations.
Curriculum description: This curriculum is designed for the beginners, who have understood the basic English knowledge or maybe some of them has been forgotten.
Level 2:  High Elementary High-level ESL 201 Requirement: The students are supposed to complete the Low Elementary Preliminary curriculum or these who have got the 50% score of the ESL placement test and oral test.
Curriculum description: This curriculum is designed for the students who are lack of professional English training. The curriculum will focus on the improvement of listening,speaking,reading and writing,the listening and speaking are our key points. Meanwhile, we also emphasize the trainings of reading,writing,grammar,spelling and the usages of punctuations,etc.
Level 3:  Low Intermediate Preliminary ESL 301 Requirement: The students are supposed to complete the High Elementary high-level curriculum or these who have got the 60%  score of the ESL writing test and oral test.
Curriculum description: This curriculum is designed for the students who are lack of professional English training. The curriculum will focus on the improvement of listening,speaking,reading and writing,the listening and speaking are our key points. Meanwhile,we also emphasize the  the trainings of reading,writing,grammar,spelling and the usages of punctuations,etc.
Level 4:  High Intermediate Intermediate and Senior ESL 401 Requirement: The students are supposed to complete the Low Intermediate curriculum or these who have got the 70% score of the ESL writing test and oral test.
Curriculum description: This curriculum is designed for the students whose English are in medium. The students can understand the courses taught by native speakers,we will pay more attention on the English communication skills. Students are required to write essays,discuss and correct some sentence or grammar errors in class. The teaching materials discussed in class are chosen from ‘A Reading Skills Book’, ‘China Daily’, ‘Reader’s Digest’  and so on.
Level 5:  Low Advanced High Preliminary ESL 501 Requirement: The students are supposed to complete the High Intermediate Intermediate and Senior curriculum or these who have got the 80% score of the ESL writing test and oral test.
Curriculum description: This curriculum is designed for the students who have mastered good English skills. Students will read and discuss the selections from English magazines. They are required to do some writings, the teacher will rectify for them.
Level 6:  Advanced High-level ESL 601 Requirement: The students are supposed to complete the Low Advanced High Preliminary curriculum or these who have got the 90% score of the ESL writing test and oral test.
